Anne Julie Healy is an Australian photographer born in Sydney, Australia in 1957 and currently based in Noosa in Queensland. She studied clinical coding and business, and has had a long career as an administration professional, largely in international consulting firms.
Anne is a fine art and landscape photographer, who started taking photos in the early 2000s with her iPhone around The Rocks in Sydney on lunch breaks, and went on to include Nikon and Leica cameras in her gear. Since moving to the Sunshine Coast in 2022, she has been using her spare time to work on photography more seriously. Anne has been experimenting with long exposures, intentional camera movement and macro techniques.
Anne is influenced by Australian painters such as Tom Robertson, Frederick McCubbin and some local Noosa artists, such as Stacey Petersen and Susan Schmidt, mainly for their depiction of the light in their work.
Anne’s photographic influences include Ansel Adams and Peter McKinnon. Anne finds photography an escape that encourages her to be in the moment. Anne was a semi finalist in the 2023 Head On Photography Awards - Landscape and Portrait, and a Finalist in The Landscape Awards 2024. Anne also received a Commended Award (Landscape) and Highly Commended Award (One Shot) from Australasia's Top Emerging Photographers 2024 competition, run by Capture Magazine.
